A seven-member delegation formed by the Department of Health Education visited the medical college campus to increase the number of seats in Ad-Deen Women’s Medical College campus located in Moghbazar in the capital on Tuesday.

The delegation members visited various departments of the women’s medical college, library, multimedia classroom, and various departments of Ad-Deen Medical College Hospital.

Director of the Department of Health Education Professor Dr. AKM Ahsan Habib said, “It is not possible for the government alone to ensure 100 percent health services. The government is collaborating with various private organizations to bring health services to the doorsteps of the people. Therefore, besides increasing the number of institutions and the number of seats, the quality of health education and health services should be increased.”

The other members of the delegation are the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Dhaka University Professor Dr. Shahriar Nabi, Professor of the Anatomy Department of Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Dr. Shahnaz Begum, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Abdul Quader, Deputy Director of the Department of Health Education Dr. Mujtahid, Assistant Director of Health Education Department Dr. Upal Caesar and the representative of Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council Professor Dr. MA Mannan.

Ad-Din Women’s Medical College Principal Professor Dr. Ashraf-Uz-Zaman, former principal Professor Dr. Afikur Rahman, Director Generals of Ad-Din Hospitals Professor Dr. Nahid Yasmin, Adviser Professor Dr. Anwar Hossain Munshi and the teachers of various departments of the medical college.
